Buying A Curved Stairlift

Here at Senior Stairlifts, we have a variety of different stairlifts for you to choose from. We know that every home is different and that’s why we have both straight and curved stairlifts so you can find the right shape stairlifts to fit in your home.

What Is A Curved Stairlift?

A curved stairlift is no different from a regular straight stairlift. They are cleverly designed to help transport you up or down the stairs with ease. All of our stairlifts are designed to be sleek and streamlined meaning they don’t take up more room than necessary and still look slick and modern in your home.

A curved stairlift differs slightly from a straight stairlift. A straight stairlift follows a strict, straight line up the side of the stairs. A curved stairlift however curves around the stairs.

Benefits Of A Curved Stairlift?

A curved stairlift is perfect if you don’t have a lot of room directly below the stairs, like if there is a wall or door immediately in front of the bottom of the stairs. A curved stairlift can curl around the base of the stairs so that seat of the stairlift can stop in a more spacious area of the hall that makes it easier for you to exit. They can also look more modern and interesting than just regular straight stairlifts.

In some houses, a curved stairlift may be the only option especially if your stairs already curve round and the stairlift has to be made to fit. They might also be needed if you have very narrow hallways and corridors that make it harder for you to exit a straight stairlift or it will make it difficult for non-stairlift users to manoeuvre around the stairlift.
